My husband and I just finished a 3 week private tour to Vietnam and Cambodia…we have been blessed to travel, and this was our best adventure yet! Last June, we reached out to Indochina Voyages and were connected with the wonderful Van Do. From the very beginning, she was amazing and worked with the rudimentary ideas that we had (some misguided, but she kept us out of trouble!) and provided wonderful recommendations which were spot on. Our tour guides and drivers were the best! The accommodations were unbelievably beautiful and relaxing, and we opted for smaller places. She was so patient with our numerous emails…we can’t imagine working with anyone more kind and capable.

We began in Hanoi, where we were welcomed at the La Siesta Classic, and began with massages, dinner, and a visit to Train Street (a must!) Our guide for northern Vietnam was Lee who was superb…warm, knowledgeable and tireless! We had so much fun leisurely winding our way to Pu Luong and stayed at a retreat overlooking rice paddies, with a grand outdoor tub and patio. In Ninh Binh we loved our accommodations at Tam Coc Garden, which was serene and intimate, with delicious food, followed by a lovely Halong Bay Cruise on the Orchid Classic.

It was then onto Hue and Hoi An. We stayed at Ancient Hue Garden Houses, which was beyond beautiful and luxurious, and enjoyed a very special private Royal Dinner. In Hoi An we went on bike tours to see this historic town and surrounding villages, had clothes tailored for us, enjoyed a private boat at night with the beautiful lanterns, experienced a very cool private cooking glass, and more. Our guide Law was energetic and generous with his time. (On our arrival evening, he recommended a great tailor and he insisted on waiting to make sure we were taken care of. We offered to take a Grab Back to the hotel but he wished to make sure we got back:) One of our very favorite activities Hoi An was visiting the surrounding villages by bike with Chicky…he was awesome!
