As eight ladies traveling through Vietnam, one of our dreams was taking a cruise in Ha Long Bay. And we got so lucky to have met Ms. Hue Nguyen of Indochina Voyages who transformed our trip into a princess’s dream. Not only we had the best cruise experience we’ve dreamed of, but we had the best 8-day tour through North Vietnam. Everything was perfectly organized and I believe we were accompanied by the perfect driver, Mr. Nguyen Truong Son! He was kind and efficient, he took us through some difficult routes carefully and safely. I definitely recommend the company for any custom-made trip through Vietnam and I would like to thank Ms. Nguyen and Mr. Son for their endless and kind assistance.

Our friends highly recommended this company as they had great trip in October. We adapted their itinerary and with consultant An Hoang customized our trip. Our 23 year old daughter joined us and An arranged for large hotel rooms with extra bed. We had local guides and drivers in each region, starting in north (Hanoi ,Sapa), Nin Binh and Halong Bay; central (Hue, Danang, Hoi An), south ( Ho Chi Minh, Mekang delta, Cu Chi tunnels) and Cambodia (Siam Reap/ Angkor wat). The itinerary was well paced with excursions that were historic, scenic, food-related, via boats, walking, vespa and bicycles. We had internal flights to maximize our time in each region. Our guides were each knowledgeable, interesting and varying degrees of fun! It was great to have a van and driver as we could store our daypacks safely during the day and it was such a luxury to be picked up and treated to ice cold water and refreshing towel. Our consultant regularly checked in with us to ensure everything was going well. We felt very well taken care of by everyone involved. Our accommodations were all well located, within walking distance of restaurants, shopping at night. We were very happy with the breakfasts and lunches included on the tour. This was a well organized, well executed private tour. We had a wonderful time. I highly recommend Indo China Voyages!

We had a fantastic three week trip through Vietnam ( with a quick diversion into Cambodia for Angkor) organised by Indochina Voyages, and the magnificent Minh Vu. Hanoi, Pu Luong, Ninh Binh, Halong Bay, Hue, Hoi An, Siem Reap, Saigon, Can Tho/Meking, Phu Quoc. The only thing that DIDN’T go well was the weather in the North. I was very disappointed that Minh didn’t fix that for us. Otherwise, a smooth, brilliantly organised trip from start to finish, with Drivers and brilliant Guides for each region (big recommendations for Mr Long in Hanoi, and big “Tom” Lam is Saigon). Ask for these guys if you go there!

We have just returned from a 19 day customised tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. A trusted friend recommended Indochina Voyages to me after she went on a trip organised through them in the previous year. We started in Hanoi, (including a trip to Halong Bay) then down to Hoi An, across to Siem Reap and Phnom Pehn in Cambodia and finished back in Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).
From the very outset of making email contact to request an itinery for a trip to the delivery of actual services on the ground in each of the places we visited, nothing was too much trouble and all went seamlessly. First of all a HUGE thank you to Minh Vu who took care of all the planning of the itinery in consultation with myself via email. The end result was a bespoke holiday customised to seeing only the sights that we wanted to see.
The hotels recommended and meals included were all great. The Guides and Drivers in each of the locations were excellent. We felt very special having our own guides and drivers. It made the trip more personalised and memorable.
I cannot recommend Indochina Voyages highly enough to anyone wanting to holiday in any of the Indochina countries.

We chose Indochina Voyages based on reviews from people who had traveled with them and information about the company on their website. All this allowed us to conclude that this company is solid and has a good reputation. I prepared a preliminary plan for a three-week trip from north to south, from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, and sent a request to the company. A day later (!) I received a response from their consultant (Ms Thuy Do) with various suggestions on how to improve the travel program. And from that moment on, we were in the strong hands of a professional! We worked on a detailed tour plan for about two weeks, and it was an amazing collaboration – I received suggestions and comments within 1-2 days! She knew absolutely everything: opening hours of museums, domestic flight schedules, which places are most interesting to visit, etc. She also gave us advice on obtaining a visa and valuable recommendations on preparing for the trip. I also want to note that during our entire trip she was constantly asking on WhatsApp if everything was okay with us. In the few cases where changes were needed, all problems were solved immediately. We have been traveling for over 30 years, and I have never received such service! All our guides were professional, but I especially want to mention Quinh (Kwin) and Tho (Tolya) in Hanoi and Ms Ngon (Maria) in Dalat. All the drivers were experienced and the cars were in perfect condition, with two bottles of water each day.

A little about the trip itself. We started in Hanoi, a very interesting city. From there we took a two-day cruise along Halong Bay. It was an amazing trip and a must-see when visiting Hanoi. One day was dedicated to exploring the picturesque waterways in Trang An. From Hanoi we moved to Hue, the ancient capital of Vietnam. Here we dedicated the whole day to exploring the citadel, the famous Thien Mu pagoda, the symbol of Hue, and some of the imperial tombs. All this is very impressive, and certainly worth a visit. From Hue we headed to Hoi An, a charming 16th century port city. From here we made radial trips to the valley of the My Son temples, the Marble Mountains, the Bana Hills entertainment complex, etc. The next stop was Dalat, the pearl of the whole trip. I highly suggest visiting this place if there is the opportunity. And finally, Ho Chi Minh with a mandatory visit the Mekong Delta and the Cu Chi tunnels.

In conclusion, our trip was great mainly thanks to Indochina Voyage and their consultant Ms Thuy Do. I highly recommend this travel agency.

Just returned from a 10 daytrip to Vietnam organised thru Indochina Voyages. We visited Ho Chi Minh City , Da Nang and Hanoi. Thrip was coordinated through MsThuy Do their travel consultant. She meticulously planned the whole itinerary and the associated hotel booking , excursions and transportation arrangements. Everything went off like clockwork and was ably assisted by excellent tour guides. In particular , I would like to commend Ms Vy for the Mekong Delta Tour, Felix our guide at Hanoi and Lee who accompanied us on Trang An river outing. They were exceptionally friendly and explained the sights in detail and made sure we were comfortable. The Halong Bay overnight cruise on La Casta cruises was beutiful. Our gratitude to our driver Hoa of La Casta who drove us to Halong Bay and back . He was kind enough to return to the hotel in Hanoi the next day to hand over the Wimbledon Cap I forgot on the bus. Overall the trip was excellent and stress free and Ms Thuy Do kept in touch with me on Whatsapp from the time we arrived in Vietnam till we left . Can’t say enough good things about our time in Hanoi and Ha Long Bay, working with Van Do was easy and pleasant and made our trip unforgettable. She helped plan our trip, made sure to check in daily to ensure everything was running smoothly during our stay and even reached out to inform us our flight was delayed after we left Hanoi. Our tour guides Hai Dan Tran and Kim were great, made our tours fun and informative. Highly recommend!

I got in touch with Indochina Voyages in August 24 based on reviews in TripAdvisor. Hue Nguyen one of their senior travel consultants got in touch within 24 hours and started to work immediately on my request for a 15 day Vietnam private tour from South to North Vietnam starting in Ho Chi Minh City and finishing in Hanoi. They have 3 options depending on your budget – deluxe, superior and luxury. We went with the luxury option and Hue came back with a proposal within a day or so. The itinerary was superb and after several Whatsapp discussions we finalised our itinerary which included wonderful 5 star hotels and resorts, daily breakfasts, multiple lunches, occasional dinners, private tours including costs of the visits, internal flights, private boat tours including Mekong river day private boat trip, 2 days/1 night Halong Bay cruise (in a cruise recommended by my friend) along with fantastic personal guides and drivers. Airport pickup and dropoff also included. All this at an entirety reasonable price.
My wife and I have just returned from this absolutely beautiful holiday where we experienced the wonders of a beautiful country and people, saw wonderful sights, had lavish breakfasts, delicious unique meals not to forget Vietnamese coffee, had great adventures and delved into the tragic history of the country despite which the people are so positive and polite.
The guides – Jayden, Andy and Dan were fantastic. All the drivers were polite and professional.
Words cannot explain the unforgettable and beautiful holiday we have just experienced. Every aspect from the pickup at Ho Chi Minh airport and dropoff at Hanoi airport went without a hitch.
Hue was absolutely superb being in touch throughout and ensuring that we are well looked after. Any minor issues were immediately dealt with.
We consider ourselves very fortunate to have had Hue as our travel consultant. She is a wonderful person, a great asset to Indochina Voyages and an absolute credit to her profession. Indeed it was our pleasure to meet her in person albeit briefly during our stay in Hanoi. She made the effort to visit us on her day off which is deeply appreciated.
We left with fond memories and will certainly get in touch with Indochina Voyages (and Hue) for future travels in the region which I hope will be in the near future.

It was amazing service, and everything was organised perfectly. We only traveled from Hanoi to Ninh Binh and Halong Bay on the cruise. Our guide, Mary, has a great sense of humour. She played with our son (she has a younger brother too) on several occasions and communicated with him, which was so lovely. We loved her so much and would love to come back again, and will definitely ask for her. However, we had an unfortunate accident when the hotel front desk staff tore our son’s passport, which caused us trouble at the airport. At first, the staff denied it, but then this Indochina Voyages company helped us resolve the issue (we had to renew the passport, which cost A$500). We were fully refunded for the cost of renewing the express passport when we returned to Sydney. Without their help, it would have been much harder to communicate with the hotel. Highly recommend this company – they are so responsible and act quickly.

We booked an Imperial Suite on the Heritage Line Violet boat. The boat is well maintained and the crew onboard were attentive and very professional. There are only 6 cabins onboard so it was a very intimate experience.

The food was plated beautifully and was delicious. We took advantage of the tours, spa and Tai Chi.

I highly recommend. Great value and First Class accommodations.

Indochina Voyages arranged a memorable visit this past December 2024 to the northern part of Vietnam covering Hanoi, SaPa, Ninh Binh, Ha Long Bay and also a short trip to Cambodia.

Arrangements included hotels, attractions, transportation by private van, driver and an English speaking tour guide. Everything was arranged beautifully, with excellent and punctual service. We got to see and experience Vietnam very differently compared to a self guided tour.

Highly recommend this outfit. Van Do was our travel coordinator and our tour guides were Tien, Linh and Narong – all of whom were very friendly and embodied the full spirit of customer service.

Also included in this was a street food tour and a hands-on cooking class in Hanoi.

Our experience in Vietnam was made unforgettable thanks to An and her incredible team. Initially, we booked through An for a Ha Long Bay cruise, but later needed daily transportation for our group of nine. An was quick to resolve this, ensuring we had reliable rides throughout our stay. Her responses were always prompt, and she went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Even when she was flying or in remote areas, her team was always there to assist us.

An also offered fantastic recommendations for activities in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. One of the highlights was the bike tour to explore Vietnamese cuisine, which we likely would not have experienced without her arranging it. It was an authentic, unique experience that truly enriched our trip.

I highly recommend An and her team to anyone traveling to Vietnam. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care made our trip exceptional.
