Indochine Cruise

Halong Bay – Lan Ha floating fishing village – Ong Cam Bay

The Indochine Cruise Lan Ha Bay launched in 2019 as one of the most spacious steel vessels sailing these waters. This 76-metre ship carries up to 110 guests across 45 cabins in four categories. Each suite features rich oak construction, high windows, a private balcony, marble en-suite bathroom, minibar, and safe. Beyond the cabins, two award-winning restaurants serve à la carte and set menus. The Tonkin and Annam restaurants focus on locally caught seafood alongside Vietnamese and international cuisine. Furthermore, a jacuzzi plunge pool, spa, gym, bar, and rooftop sundeck round out a ship that rewards staying aboard as much as going ashore. Throughout the journey, the colonial-era design, art galleries, and antique furnishings give the Indochine Cruise Lan Ha Bay a character that few vessels on the bay can match.

What truly sets this cruise apart, however, is its approach to shore excursions. On the 3-day itinerary, guests step off the main ship and board a traditional local boutique day boat. As a result, they reach corners of Lan Ha Bay that larger vessels simply cannot access.

Highlights:

  • Explore the Dark and Bright Cave by kayak or traditional bamboo sampan through a stunning limestone tunnel
  • Swim freely in the emerald waters of Lan Ha Bay after the cave visit
  • Step aboard a local boutique day boat and venture deeper into the bay’s most secluded waterways
  • Cycle or ride an electric van through Viet Hai village and visit rustic local homes on Cat Ba Island
  • Explore the 300-metre Trung Trang Cave, the largest stalactite cave in Cat Ba National Park
  • Swim and relax on the pristine shores of Ba Trai Dao (Three Peaches) beach in Lan Ha Bay
  • Join a fruit and vegetable carving lesson led by the head chef each evening before dinner
  • Start each morning with a Tai Chi session on the rooftop sundeck at sunrise
  • Try squid fishing under the stars from the deck of the ship after dinner
