From Mountain To The Sea 5 Days

The full day tour takes you around Hanoi’s highlights sites including the Ho Chi Minh Complex: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and his stilt house, Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda. You also have a chance to visit the historic University – The Temple of Literature, which dates back to the 11th century; and learn about Buddhist practices in a serene lakeside pagoda. Visit the famous Ethnology Museum.

Back to the Old Quarter to walk through the narrow streets that were famous for its specialized craft-making guilds, the guild streets are named for their product or location and still bear such names nowadays, and then join in a unique water puppet show that features the Viet folklores and culture. At 8:00 am, our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel then we start our drive to Mai Chau.

On the way, we will stop to visit Muong tribe and Thung Khe Pass to catch the entire amazing scene. Arrive in Mai Chau at noon, and check in hotel in Mai Chau. After having lunch at a local house, we start to trek through terraced rice paddies and small villages, discovering the natural beauty of the valley and encountering the culture of the ethnic minority Thai people on our visits to the “Pom Coong” and “Na Phon” villages. Back to the hotel for some leisure before the evening, a special live dance and music performance will make your night lively.

Get up and enjoy the fresh air of the mountain and have your breakfast. This morning, we will take a bike to ride along the narrow paths and also do a light trek to visit other villages in the valley. Have a chance to witness and talk with local villagers going about their daily business tilling their fields, logging, or herding the buffalo. After lunch, we say goodbye to this beautiful valley and the family to drive back to Hanoi.

At 08:00, Our driver will pick you up at your place in Hanoi then transfer to Halong Bay (3.5 hour drive) and board the boat at noon time. The magical bay is home to thousands of limestone islands rising from the waves like dragons’ teeth. Later in the afternoon, you will visit an interesting fishing village with the opportunity to interact with fishermen who have been living in the bay for almost three generations. Back on board, you’ll enjoy cocktails or cooking classes while watching the sunset, before indulging in a lavish dinner on board. Afterward, you can choose to do anything from joining movie night, playing board games, or relaxing at the beauty spa before retiring for the evening.

You’ll start the day with a morning Tai Chi exercise and an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. After breakfast, you will be taken to a beautiful limestone grotto before returning to the junk for a final glimpse of Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock. Check out at noon time and the vehicle is waiting for you to take you back to Hanoi. Check-in hotel in Hanoi. Free time to shop or chill out the nightlife in the Old Quarter.
